Ghosts and Ghouls Trail

About

Ghosts and Ghouls Trail

Nottinghamshire, one of the most central counties in England, is lucky enough to have one of the longest, richest and possibly most exciting histories than anywhere else in Britain. With the largest network of man made caves, a few castles and some of the oldest pubs in England, it is no surprise that Nottinghamshire has its fair share of ghost stories. On this trail, you will unravel many of the stories surrounding the County and uncover a history of murder, sieges, gruesome deaths and corrupt politics which lead to the misery and sorrow of many lives. In some of these locations, the spirits can still be felt, whether it be a cold prickling on the back of your neck in the Trip to Jerusalem, the brush of a sleeve against your arm at Newstead Abbey or scratching and tugging in the condemned cells in the cellars of the Galleries of Justice.
